		<description><![CDATA[I have read a couple of books where the authors seem to want the reader to cheer on or encourage a character or two.  I felt like that with Billy in &#8220;How to Eat Fried Worms&#8221; and Penny from &#8220;Penny Pollard&#8217;s Letters&#8221;.  Have you read any books like that?

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last week, Miss Andrea, Lola and I had the joy of attending the launch of <a target="_blank" href="http://www.jackiefrench.com/">Jackie French&#8217;s </a>new book &#8216;A Rose for the ANZAC Boys&#8217;.  Mrs French talked about her life and books for nearly an hour and then we were able to ask questions.  Someone asked her what her favourite book is. She has many favourite books, so she couldn&#8217;t really answer that one.  Someone asked her about wombats, so she told us all about the adventures of living with so many of these animals.</p>
<p>So, who is your favourite author and what would you like to ask him/her if you could?  Remember that popular authors are asked some questions again and again, so you probably need to know something about the author to ask be given an interesting answer.</p>
