What would you ask your favourite author?
29 04 2008Last week, Miss Andrea, Lola and I had the joy of attending the launch of Jackie French’s new book ‘A Rose for the ANZAC Boys’. Mrs French talked about her life and books for nearly an hour and then we were able to ask questions. Someone asked her what her favourite book is. She has many favourite books, so she couldn’t really answer that one. Someone asked her about wombats, so she told us all about the adventures of living with so many of these animals.
So, who is your favourite author and what would you like to ask him/her if you could? Remember that popular authors are asked some questions again and again, so you probably need to know something about the author to ask be given an interesting answer.
A question for Morris Gleitzman:
You used to be a comedy writer for TV shows. Did you find it difficult to change from that to writing for children?
One for Eion Colfer:
How did you get the idea of the character Atemis Foul?
I would ask J.K rowling,
How did you create the Harry Potter Series.
I would ask any good author:
” Where do you find your inspiration for your stories?”
Because I think It is important as an author to have a good source for ideas.
I would ask J.K Rowling if she could write a book of all the Harry Potter spells she has used in her books and release it for us Harry Potter fans!
I would ask any author what thier favourite books were when they were children. If they liked books at all.
I would talk to Lemony Snicket and ask him if the Baudelaires are real and how he found out about them anyway.
I would ask Roald Dahl: How did you come up with your stories?
R.L.Stine - Who or what inspired you to create the Goosebumps series?
I would ask Jenny Nimmo author of “Children of the Red King” series if she could make another book of that series because it is one of the best series I’ve ever read :).
I would ask Ann.M.Martin how she got inspiration for the series Main Street.
