The Secret Garden – whoa – good book! Don’t be misled by some of the terrible covers that might be on the front. It’s much better than the movie. One of my childhood favourites. Now don’t make ANY comments about it being written ‘in the olden days’!!! Yeah, yeah, I know. In those times where we used clay tablets and a stylus.

Don’t know what that is? Or when? – Google it!

GOT TO LOVE HISTORY!
Cheers!

Rangers Apprentice is a series, but they are brilliant books. They lure you straight into the middle. You can’t read the first book then put it down, you have to read the whole series. It’s irresistable!!!

Yes! to Macbeth and Son by Jackie French. Unusual way for a book to be written, but a great story from Jackie French, as usual.

Alli – Good suggestions. The stories are classics, but they wouldn’t be counted as that without being brilliant. You might also like to read ‘Julie and the Wolves’ by Jean Craighead George, ‘Little House on the Prairie’ by Laura Ingalls Wilder and ‘Tom’s Midnight Garden’ by Phillipa Pearce.

I think that the Eragon trilogy is really good for 6s and 7s because it has a lot of thrilling contents. :)

I personally like Remote Man written by Elizabeth Honey. It’s really about a boy who is quite lazy (Just like me :O)

For any year six or seven horse lover I would fully recommend the Chestnut Hill series! All about friends and horses!
