Use a book setting to design a “Where am I?”

Example:

I am on an island in the middle of a wide blue sea.

I have an Emergency Cave and a Lookout Palm.

Jack likes to sit on Selkie’s Rock.

Where am I?

What short, easy reads would you recommend for hot, sticky summer days?

Santa Claus is coming to town ….

and what books would you love to have him bring for you?

Who would you cheer on?

23 09 2008

I have read a couple of books where the authors seem to want the reader to cheer on or encourage a character or two.  I felt like that with Billy in “How to Eat Fried Worms” and Penny from “Penny Pollard’s Letters”.  Have you read any books like that?

Find out about your teacher’s favourite books and then write something similar to this about your teacher’s favourite book:

I work with many books.

I like reading stories.

I see most of the students in the school at least once a week.

My favourite story when I was a child was the old fairy tale ‘The Twelve Dancing Princesses’ by the Brothers Grimm.

Who am I?

The answer is Mrs Wade!
