Use a book setting to design a “Where am I?”
Example:
I am on an island in the middle of a wide blue sea.
I have an Emergency Cave and a Lookout Palm.
Jack likes to sit on Selkie’s Rock.
Where am I?
What short, easy reads would you recommend for hot, sticky summer days?

I have read a couple of books where the authors seem to want the reader to cheer on or encourage a character or two. I felt like that with Billy in “How to Eat Fried Worms” and Penny from “Penny Pollard’s Letters”. Have you read any books like that?
